RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT FOR FIRMS

The need of the industry to keep the technological skill up-to-date is the condition to realize collaboration between the firms and the staff of researcher in the academic area.

The Mechanical Engineering Department of Tor Vergata University aims to promote this kind of collaboration and works toward the born and consolidation of partnership, in order to develop research activities in the mechanical engineering disciplines, focused on specific topics suggested by the firms themselves.

In this way the industry can perform product and process development programs taking advantage from the know-how and the experimental and simulation facilities available at the Department. On the other hand the Department itself can sharpen its expertise facing the hard challenge of R&D in the industrial world.
